Jeff Hildreth comes from a heritage of Northern  European artists and craftsmen. He has been involved in art and craft from an early age having won Best in Show in his first competition at age  eleven.

Jeff spent twenty five years in the auto industry, including technician at  British Motors of Monterey, retail service manager, and several years in management and management training for high-line European manufacturers

at the National level.

He has owned over one hundred cars and trucks, mostly British and  European; also over 50 motorcycles; British, German and Italian. He co-conceived, and founded, the Monterey Bay European Motorcycle Club in 1982. His current restoration project is a 1964 MGB roadster.

For the last twenty five years Hildreth has been  making traditional painted furniture and folk art with pieces in galleries, museums and collections in England, the Netherlands, Japan and the US. His interest is vernacular craft and art originally made by immigrants to the US and Canada including, Russian, Ukrainian, Doukhobor, Swedish, Quebequois, Spanish Revival and American styles such as obscure painted Shaker and Monterey.

For the last few years Jeff  has focused on  Motor SportArt, combining his artistic talents with his experience in the auto industry, and passion for historic autos and cycles. He takes inspiration from traditional sources and combines them with artistic license to create original pieces that have a vintage look and feel. The distinction of his work is that each piece is an original and unique. His work is now in 21 countries around the world in museums, private collections "man caves" and commercial auto and non auto related businesses.

He will be showing at the Concorso Italiano in Monterey for the third year  and at the Carmel Bay Co in Carmel for the 5th year in August, 2017. Carmel Bay Co. in Carmel, Ca, Bend Bungalow in Bend, Oregon, and the Carefree Buffalo in Jacksonville, Oregon carry a variety of his work.
